Our new staffing assistant is a face some of you may recognize. The Lee Group is proud to announce Nicole Hux has been promoted to staffing assistant in the Chesapeake, Va., office.
Nicole previously served as administrative assistant running the office’s front desk. She often was the first point of contact for Lee Group clients. In her new role, Nicole will be supporting the staffing managers to help The Lee Group place great people in great jobs and find quality employees for quality companies.
“I love the interaction with the people who come in the office,” Nicole said. “After a client’s first visit, I enjoy having conversations with him or her using first names and developing a relationship with the candidate.
“That’s the first step to developing the trust and respect we have to show each other,” Nicole said. “We’re putting faith in you just like you’re putting faith in us. We’re in this together.”
Nicole has been working to deliver The Lee Group difference from her first day on the job. In fact, she says she experienced that “difference” first hand when she relocated to the area to join her husband.
“I had applied for 45 jobs and had nothing. All they saw was a 911 dispatcher, which is what I had done for 14 years,” Nicole said. “But Sarah, with The Lee Group, chose to look more broadly and deeply. She thought about all the skills and attributes that go into being a 911 dispatcher and knew that I’d be good for the administrative role here.
“That’s The Lee Group difference,” Nicole continued. “The extra effort, the problem solving, the drive to make the perfect match – that’s how we stand out among our peers. The other thing The Lee Group difference is, to me at least, is the difference we can make in people’s lives,” she added. “That’s a very satisfying feeling.”
“Nicole is a natural for this role,” Sarah Fulton, The Lee Group branch manager, said. “From day one she has gone above and beyond to help our team, the employees and our clients succeed. She has been living The Lee Group difference since the day she walked in the door.”
