The Lee Group team in our Richmond office is hiring now for a Quality Assurance Inspector.
This "temporary to permanent" position performs incoming, in-process and finished goods inspection of products to verify compliance to requirements and specifications. This position routinely works Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities and duties include:
-Inspect raw and finished goods to confirm their compliance to required specs.
-Accurately prepare and maintain inspection records and technical reports using the Measurlink SPC system.
-Maintain equipment and assure equipment is calibrated.
-Reporting of out-of-specification inspection results in a timely manner.
-Assist on Production line in an inspector's role as needed.
-Lead or assist in the investigation of Nonconformance Reports, customer complaints, and related quality issues.
A successful application will have the following qualifications and skills:
-Experience with database management, SAP, Measurlink SPC preferred.
-Experience with dimensional measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, moisture meter, etc.).
-ASQ Certification preferred.
-One or more years of quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
-Two-year technical degree or college coursework in a applicable technical discipline (math, engineering, science), preferred.
-Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
-Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent. Ability to compute with linear and square footage.
-Must be able to operate a forklift.
