Lee Group Search is pleased to announce it has named Wes Ashworth Vice President of Executive Search, charged with leading the executive recruitment and placement for companies both across the U.S. and throughout southeastern and central Virginia, where the company is based.
“In my years as a recruiter, I have often said the name of the game is the right fit,” Ashworth said. “It’s not just about a job. It’s about understanding what a business needs, what a candidate needs, and matching them together. I feel honored to have been matched up with Lee Group Search years ago, to have grown with the company, and to now move into serving it in a leadership role.”
Ashworth joined the firm in 2014 as an Executive Search Consultant.
Over the years, Ashworth has partnered with companies across the U.S., helping with their mission-critical recruiting initiatives. While his experience spans varied industries, he’s worked closest with clients and candidates in manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
In his new role, Ashworth will lead the entire executive search division – defined as Lee Group Search within The Lee Group, its parent company – and everything that encompasses, from operations, training new consultants, hiring new recruiters and the continued growth of the organization.
In short, said Eric Kean, Principal with The Lee Group, “Wes is driving the bus.”
And he’s the right person to do it, Kean said, thanks to his “strong belief in doing the right thing, caring about people and fostering close relationships with both the companies and the candidates we serve.”
“From the very beginning it was crystal clear that Wes gets it,” Kean said. “The get-it-factor is so hard to come by in our industry. You have to have the understanding, the patience, the tenacity and, as I said before, the strong belief to always do the right thing.”
Aligning talent to grow businesses and change lives doesn’t just happen, Ashworth said.
“It’s a process,” Ashworth said. “I’m looking forward to continuing to hone our proven process here at Lee Group Search.”
