The Lee Group welcomed Kirk Hulbert as Business Development Manager for its expanding Richmond office.
Hulbert’s focus will be sourcing new partnerships in the Richmond area for The Lee Group, one of Virginia’s leading executive search and staffing firms. The Lee Group has offices in Newport News and Chesapeake in addition to the Richmond one located at 4796 Finlay St. Suite 1.
“With a strong effort to connect with companies here in Richmond and the surrounding areas, we have a great opportunity to help companies and employees connect,” Hulbert said. “My job is business-to-business.”
Hulbert thrives at building successful professional relationships with companies and the people behind them.
“I actually started in engineering,” he said. “I realized that numbers are fine, but I really like the softer side of business management, too.”
Hulbert earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree from Elmira College. The native of upstate New York comes to The Lee Group after owning his own company, an art distributorship called H3 Sales in Chester, Virginia.
He felt immediately at home when he met with leadership from The Lee Group and began his role in January 2021.
“The culture, the people and The Lee Group mission are what sold me,” he said. “At this point in my career, I wanted to find the right fit, and I found it here.”
Away from the office, Hulbert enjoys spending time with his wife, Denise, and their three adult children, April, Ryan and Chris.
Hulbert is aa longtime member of the Central Virginia Wrestling Association and has spent more than 20 decades officiating high school and youth wrestling matches. He also enjoys fly fishing, camping and golf.
